18th Century Unpainted. Made from resin.
The lower of the two designs is the type you would find in an orchestra or being used by a cellist, Double base player, Guitar player or seated violinist, woodwind player etc. Combined with one of my side chairs this would make a lovely story, maybe with music manuscripts laying around the floor with a violin bow resting on the seat of the chair - I do sell the violin!

The kit is not painted.
PAINTING/FINISHING
I prefer to paint my work with a spray primer. This ensures a good adhesion between paint and painted surface. You can then apply a spray finish or brush painted finish.
The item is metal so can be polished and aged with a back wax or paint. Or paint it black for an enamel effect.
